Long time no see. The past several years have been a bit of a shit show. But I'm still alive! Let's see, major life events?

-Left my husband

-Moved to Indiana

-In a new and healthier relationship

-If any of you remember I have ferrets. I've lost several over the last couple of years leaving my heart and soul a little more darker

-Became a Pup and joined the Pup Community

Those are major mile stones worth sharing. To tell the rest would take far too long and I'm sure you don't really want to read it. Lul. Still probably won't post too much art here, but there is a link to my Art Twitter if you'd like to follow that!

If you want to contact me or just chat I've got Discord(Ferret Lord Seimei#4434) and Telegram(Seimei_roo) where you can reach me!

I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe out there!

Cheers,

Seimei

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When I logged in one day to see that one of my idols, who I did not know on any kind of personal basis, commented and even faved one of my pieces. Cheesy, I know. But we all get giddy when senpai notices us~

So let me start by saying, I never want to do another sleep study for as long as I live. Allow me to illustrate what this study is comprised of....

First. They clean the areas of your skin where these electrode pads are stuck to you. Think like fncy stickers with super glue for bonding. Then they snap wires to these fancy stickers and run them all over you and down your pants and up your shirt. But not too bad. Then, they do the same thing to your face and scalp. Yes, your scalp. So if you're bald that's great, but if you have thick hair like me, it sucks. They draw on your scalp to mark off the areas with a red pencil. For some reason they sharpen these pencils really fucking sharp so it's more like they carve the marks into your flesh! Then, they put glue, wires, and gauze of these spots. 10, to be exact. All over your head. They also put 5 wires on your face. Once all the wires are attatched they hook them all up to this little pad that you wear around your neck so you can walk around and do what ever until bedtime. Let me tell you something, trying to pee without getting wires in the toilet is annoying. -__-

When bed time rolls around you get in bed and they hook more things up to you. They strap belts around your chest and midsection with sensors on them. Then they put a giant 'Snore Patch' over your throat, followed by a clap they put on your right index finger that glows red and in my case, the most amusing thing. (You can make little light shows in the dark) THEN. My favroite part! (Not really.) They put wires and tubes up your nose, wrap them around your ears and tighten them under your chin. Once aaaaalll of these wires and tubes are in place they hook them up to these fancy machines next to your bed, turn the lights off, and then make you do a small series of movements to make sure all the wires are attatched correctly.

They ask you to stare at the ceiling without blinking, blink 5 times, take deep breaths through your nose and mouth, hold your breath, move your legs one at a time, count out loud, grind your teeth, and close your eyes for 5 seconds. Once this small test is over they tell you to try and get some sleep.

Try and get some sleep? HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSE TO SLEEP LIKE THIS? I FEEL LIKE SOME SCIENCE EXPERIMENT AND YOU WANT ME TO SLEEP? PFFFFFTTTTT.....
It was uncomfortable, freezing, and lonely. I was locked in a pitch black room with only a speaker over my head to keep me company. The staff was at least friendly.

After a painfully, sleepless night. They woke me up at 6am. I had to fill out more paper work and they took all the wires off me except the ones on my face and scalp and two on my torso. Then began my long day of naps. Yes. I had to take 30 minute naps every two hours. It was maddening, because just as I was about to fall asleep, they would walk in my room and turn the lights on. I was angry enough to stab babies and sacrifice nuns. Also before each nap I had to do that stupid test. "Stare at the ceiling. Blink 5 time. Close your eyes. Grind your teeth!" It was infuriating and I was beyond livid.

But around 2 pm I got to have all my wires removed, got a shower, and went home after my nurse was kind enough to sneak into one of the other nurses office to steal my a Diet Dew because I was craving caffine like a crack addict! So I took the elevator down to the last floor, walked outside and I swear, I was so happy to see the sun and feel the wind again. The toture was over and I could go home. I left with a few wounds, though. When they were attatching my wires they scrapped my skin pretty good and the glue burned my skin. I've got sore spots all over my head and a few on my face. They are starting to scab over now, though and don't hurt quite as bad.

Alas, I am home now and in a few weeks I'll have a doctors visit to go over the results of my tests and we'll see just what's wrong with me.

Sleep Study...

4 min read
Okay, for those of you how don't know, I'm being seeing a sleep disorder doctor. Heh, yeah. Cause I can't sleep. Or can sleep but don't sleep well. You know what? It's complicated. Anywho!

Tonight I go to the hospital for my first ever Sleep Study. I have to stay the night and most of tomorrow at this hospital. The doctors will hook me up to some machines and wires and watch me sleep. Like creepers. O_O
Okay, more like doctors watching over a patient, but whatever.

Cool thing is I will get my own little room and stuff. Weird thing is I will be monitored the whole time by staff. They can see me but I won't be able to see them. Creeeeeepers. >.>

But hopefully this study will provide me and my doctor with insight on my sleeping problem. Because get this, I could have Narcalepsy. That's crazy yo. If you don't know a lot about this disorder go Google it, you will laugh. It certainly makes me chuckle.

So yeah, I'll be away from my 'nest'. I dislike being away from my nest. o____________0
But I'm taking my laptop and tablet. Maybe I'll actually draw something while I'm there. That would be fan-fuckin'-tastic. -_-
